DOC scientists are collecting the carcasses of feral cats to take samples, testing for toxoplasmosis disease - it’s all in the name of science, and the protection of the critically endangered Māui dolphin.

Stuff, supported by the Waikato Times, with backing from Water Safety New Zealand, launched its safe swimming campaign in October.
