Unwanted wool/acrylic
A big THANK YOU to the three people who gave wool for our group of elderly ladies who knit blankets, hats, jerseys etc. for people in Romania and Moldova (through Mission Without Borders - a non-denominational charity). If anyone else has wool or acrylic/wool they no longer need, we would receive it gratefully. Small balls and odd colours no prohblem as we use them for stripes. Police investigating a serious assault in Matangi are asking the public for help in identifying the offenders.
Two people were trying to speak to the occupants of a dark-coloured Ford Falcon on Saturday night that was doing noisy burnouts in the semi-rural area.
