Hamilton’s rental market is facing a “double whammy” of high migration and low rental availability, with one couple who spent more than two months searching saying there was almost always a line out the door at property viewings.
“We’re seeing a lot of demand for rental properties with net migration really high,” CoreLogic NZ chief property economist Kelvin Davidson says.
