Voting is now open at the centre for the Hamilton West by-election!
The by-election is being held so voters enrolled in the Hamilton West electorate can elect a local MP to represent them in Parliament.
The Hamilton West electorate includes the suburbs west of the Waikato River including Melville, Frankton, Nawton, Pukete, and Te Rapa. It also includes Woodridge and parts of Flagstaff.
You can enrol and vote at the same time at any voting place, including on election day.
Voting closes on Saturday the 10th of December at 7pm.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
