Are dirt bikes a problem in your area?

In Huntly west they've been ripping up parks, racing in the street - and sometimes with a toddler passenger, say frustrated residents.

One described the bikes as buzzing like wasps and said she wanted to get the fly spray out because "they’re annoying the hell out of me".

Do you get dirt bikes buzzing around your area?

Fallout from 'abusive' Bydder submission grows

Two dozen code of conduct complaints - an apparent record - have been made to Hamilton City Council over a profanity-laden submission from one of its councillors to Waipā District Council.

The city council late on Monday confirmed 24 code of conduct complaints about councillor Andrew Bydder’s submission - he says as a private citizen - over constructing a third bridge in Cambridge.

The complainants include mayor Paula Southgate.

Poll: Should Tīrau get a Burger King and Starbucks?

The South Waikato town of Tīrau could be in line for a corporate fast food takeover if consent is given for the building of a Starbucks and Burger King on the main drag though town.

But, some locals don’t think the corporate giants are the right fit for the town known for its boutique cafes, antique shops and corrugated iron inspired art works and facades.
