"RUSTY" 3yr old desexed female

Renee from Fairfield

RUSTY HAS FOUND A HOME

Rusty is desexed, micro chipped and registered on NZCAR.
She is FIV+ meaning she has a lower than normal immune system but she has never had bad health in her 2 years with us.
She has had her yearly other vacs except behind in last years one.

She prefers the older quiet more retired life and is seeking a like minded older owner, maybe an elderly person looking for a companion to spoil, she loves a smoochy pat (especially if foods involved) before curling to sleep on a favorite part on a couch.
In her time with us she has gotten used our young children but doesn't like being held much and can be grumpy to kids and DOES NOT like but can tolerate other animals.

We were her foster family while we were on our rural dairy farming job then the elderly lady who rescued her passed away and I tried taking on finding her forever homes to no luck so we left it last year as we moved into town and wanted to try our best with her but with too many cats in the area and her missing the quiet country life she hasn't been as happy as she was and she deserves that.

If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting her, then please email me on Mummynae@hotmail.co.nz or private message me here to discuss if you have the perfect forever home for her.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!
