Are you ready for a Piarere roundabout?
A two-lane roundabout is about to replace the Piarere intersection, which is used by about 20,000 vehicles a day.
Construction at the Piarere intersection of state Highways 1 and 29 will start in early January and is expected to take two years, NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said.

Hamilton's overburdened justice ecosystem
It desperately needs to be bigger, but they are going to make it stronger instead.
There are not enough courtrooms to cater for the glut of cases at the Hamilton District Court, and according to the Ministry of Justice there won’t be any additional space in the foreseeable future.
