Happy New Year to all of the TKMA students.
We, the instructors and myself, are very keen to get going and get stuck into our training and teaching for the year. Judging by all of the enquiries I have had over the last week, many students and prospective students are also feeling that twitch that tells them that they have had their break and now it is time to get that body moving.
So here are the times and locations of classes in January.
Sunday 13th and 20th January
Hamilton City dojo, Henkada Judo club
10 to 11 am - junior and senior, all grades combined class
Monday 14th, 21st, and 28th January
Flagstaff dojo, Endeavour school, Endeavour Drive
6-7pm, - junior and senior, all grades combined class
Wednesday 16th and 23rd January
Rototuna school. Strathmore Drive
6.30 to 7.30pm - junior and senior, all grades combined class

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

The property in Woodcock Rd - notable for having a hydroslide in the back yard - the scene of now-disproved alleged sexual offending by Hamilton dentist Rahul Gautam - made headlines more than 15 years ago, when it was a focus in the case of accountant Gary Soffe.
