Wool for Charity knitting.

Glen from Flagstaff

I knit for Hospice, Plunket, Womens Refuge, Oncology wards and after many years of knitting I'm running out of wool. Any wool that people don't require, any amount or ply (8ply or under preferable) would be appreciated. Will pick up from Flagstaff or Rototuna. I've just finished knitting two "tree jackets" for the new childrens playground at Hamilton Gardens so this has taken up most of my surplus wool. I was asked to do these by the bosses at the Gardens as contractors had damaged two tree trunks. You can txt me at 027 696 7886 with address and phone number. Much appreciated.

From rugged campsite to 7.5ha resort

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.

He went on camping holidays with his parents, and later, took his own kids.
“Camping’s been in my blood.”
