Wool/Acrylic Needed
Do you have any wool/acrylic surplus to your requirements that you no longer need? Our group of ladies make blankets, jumpers, scarves and hats for people in Romania, Moldova and the Ukraine where there is much poverty and need especially at the moment in that war-torn area. End of balls and small amounts are welcome as much as larger quantities as they can be used to put stripes in the squares or jumpers etc. My number is 021-057-0371. f you have any that you would be willing to donate, please give me a ring and I will arrange collection. A Whangamatā 11-year-old has placed his award-winning mullet up for auction to raise money for Starship Hospital.
Kahū Hall, who named himself ‘Taco’ when he was three years old, is selling his mullet after growing it for three years. Taco said he was motivated to raise the money after his friend Evie Taylor stayed at Starship Hospital for a heart operation.

The new time-limited scheme is designed to de-risk developments, making finance easier to obtain for developers to start building. Developers often have to pre-sell a proportion of dwellings in any development in order to secure finance, which has become much more difficult in the current economic downturn.
