Poll: Do you like the idea of a Sunday Te Huia service?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Winston Peters has thrown his support behind Te Huia’s new Sunday service, signalling that interregional rail could become a political bargaining chip as the 2026 general election approaches.

The interregional service between Hamilton and Auckland was recently given the green light to operate seven days a week, with the new Sunday schedule set to launch on July 27.

Do you like the idea of a Sunday Te Huia service? Tell us your reasons in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
