Have you heard of fake notes being used in your area?
Counterfeit notes are believed to be in circulation in Waikato after police made two arrests that resulted in counterfeit notes being seized.
The first arrest was made earlier this month on September 9, after a 33-year-old man was allegedly using counterfeit notes to purchase items from a number of stores in the Waikato area, and was also allegedly found with multiple counterfeit notes in his possession, police said in a statement.
