Star Wars Whaanau Day - Glenview Library

Bevan from Hamilton East

Kia ora all. I haven't seen this shared anywhere, so thought I would share it here. The Glenview Library is running a free event on Saturday morning this week (1st May). It's a Star Wars Whaanau Day. There is going to be a bunch of activities - VR, Lego contests, Crafts, Nerf Shooting Gallery, and free kai. There are also going to be some characters, some prizes, and it should just be lots of fun. It's running from 10am - 12.30pm and everyone is welcome. The info is up on Facebook here:

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? ๐Ÿ›ป๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Poll: Are you a Te Huia fan?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

All three Hamilton MPs appear to be united behind the retention of the Te Huia passenger rail service between Hamilton and Auckland, as well as potentially expanding it to Tauranga.

But whether Hamilton Eastโ€™s Ryan Hamilton, Hamilton Westโ€™s Tama Potaka and soon-to-be Labour list MP Georgie Dansey have the combined power to shunt transport minister Chris Bishop and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon onto their line of thinking remains to be seen.

Are you a Te Huia fan? Tell us more in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

How much does it cost to join AEA?

There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
