Wool donations
Hi. A group of us (mainly elderly ladies) knit blankets, scarves, jumpers etc. for poor people in Moldova and Romania and countries round about. We are always needing wool/acrylic yarn so if you have any spare wool or acrylic yarn we would receive it gratefully. I have asked in the past for donations so a big thank you to the people who have previously donated to us - we really appreciate it as it keeps our needles going !!! Guest judge Alia McQueen said the National Party MP showed loads of “style and energy” as he out-bombed his parliamentary colleagues at Saturday’s impromptu manu challenge at Wellington Street Beach in Hamilton.

Police investigating a serious assault in Matangi are asking the public for help in identifying the offenders.
Two people were trying to speak to the occupants of a dark-coloured Ford Falcon on Saturday night that was doing noisy burnouts in the semi-rural area.
