TERM 3 Classes begin for ADULTS and KIDS
Term 3 classes For Kids starting Saturday July 30
Term 3 classes For ADULTS from Week of August 1.
For ADULTS choose from 2 streams:
- Adult Studio Exploration, either Mondays 6- 8:30 or Wedenesdays 12 -2:30 or Thursdays 10:30 - 1. x 8 weeks of flexible exploration using a range of media, subject and techniques; for beginners or continuers.
- TASTERS: There are 4 tasters in the series, Each taster focuses on a topic in a 2-part block: Topics: 1. Drawing / Dry media 2. Watercolour 3. Ink & Wash illustration 4. Acrylic Paint.Book any pair or combination of pairs. Taster Session times:
Mondays 12 - 2:30, Tuesdays 10:30 - 1, Wednesdays 6 - 8:30.
KIDS: After school classes Monday and Wednesday 4 - 6pm. Saturday morning classes 9:30 - 1.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
