Can you help?
WOOL NEEDED
Do you have any wool or acrylic wool that is surplus to your requirements? Our group of ladies make squares and strips that are knitted or crocheted into blankets. We also make jumpers, hats and scarves. These are sent to a distribution centre in Moldova for distribution to very needy people in Romania, Moldova and the Ukraine. Right now the need is very great – there is war in the Ukraine, and Moldova and Romania are very close by. The people live in constant fear for their lives and there is little work and much poverty to add to their woes so if you can help, we would be very grateful. We are willing to do the knitting etc but we are constantly running out of supplies so any amounts – big or small – would be gratefully received. The children in the group picture are displaying blankets made by ladies from our group. Call me if you can help and I will arrange to pick up any donations you might be willing to give. Many thanks. Live Q&A: Garden maintenance with Crewcut
This Wednesday, we're having another Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with John Bracewell from Crewcut.
John Bracewell, former Black Caps coach turned Franchisee Development Manager and currently the face of Crewcut’s #Movember campaign, knows a thing or two about keeping the grass looking sharp—whether it’s on a cricket pitch or in your backyard!
As a seasoned Crewcut franchisee, John is excited to answer your lawn and gardening questions. After years of perfecting the greens on the field, he's ready to share tips on how to knock your garden out of the park. Let's just say he’s as passionate about lush lawns as he is about a good game of cricket!
John is happy to answer questions about lawn mowing, tree/hedge trimming, tidying your garden, ride on mowing, you name it! He'll be online on Wednesday, 27th of November to answer them all.
