Monarch Butterflies
We have swan plants, and the monarchs have been coming in and laying, but we are seeing hardly any caterpillars compared with previous years. Did some research this morning because I wondered if ants would take the eggs, seems that they do. So, following some advice I found I have put coffee grounds around the base of the plant (and a jam trap for the wasps). Result! This morning there was a regular runway of ants going up and down the plants, now there's hardly any, just have to wait and see if we get more caterpillars now.
