Swimmer search instead solves city cold case as different body found
Police searching for a missing swimmer in the Waikato River have instead found the body of another man missing since August.
The body, found in a vehicle on Monday evening, is believed to be missing 39-year-old man Aydan Brown, Hamilton City Area Commander Inspector Neil Faulkner said in a statement.

A wallaby spotted in Hamilton was probably kept as a pet, the regional council says - and that’s “simply irresponsible”.
The dama wallaby, which had an immature joey in its pouch, was spotted in Frankton on March 3, reported and killed, Waikato Regional Council says.
