Waikato Interfaith Council Annual Interfaith Service: Sunday 19 October 5:00pm
The Waikato Interfaith Council is pleased to present it’s Annual Interfaith Service on Sunday 19 October 2025, from 5:00-6:30pm at Lady Goodfellow Chapel at the University of Waikato, Gate 2 off Knighton Road. This year’s event will include contributions from Bahá’í, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh communities. 1-hour service, followed by a half hour of networking, mingling and snacks. ‘Simply irresponsible’: Wallaby likely kept as pet in Hamilton, regional council says
A wallaby spotted in Hamilton was probably kept as a pet, the regional council says - and that’s “simply irresponsible”.
The dama wallaby, which had an immature joey in its pouch, was spotted in Frankton on March 3, reported and killed, Waikato Regional Council says.
