WORLD RELIGIONS SERIES: EarthDiverse is pleased to announce that the Term 2 course offering in this series will focus on 'Islam'. Learn about the history and development of the Islamic faith, the Life of the Prophet, its Sacred Texts, central concepts, beliefs and practices, and Muslim celebrations and commemorations, all from an anthropological/objective point of view. Term 2 classes on Islam are offered in Te Awamutu on Wednesday evenings (4 bi-weekly sessions) and Hamilton on Thursday evenings (8 weekly sessions) beginning the week of Monday 4 May 2020. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
