Poll: Are swear words no longer?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In 2023, Apple amended its autocorrect function to allow Iphone users to freely use their intended word without mentioning 'ducks'. Is this a sign of the times? Are swear words no longer taboo in our communities or workplaces?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.

Have you stayed in a cabin - or do you have one at home?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

When Luke Pepper and wife Shannon built an off-grid cabin on their King Country beef farm, it was only ever intended to be for the family to enjoy.

But despite the hut only being “a few kilometres” from their house, the Peppers found they didn’t have time to use it.

The Taumarunui couple didn’t want the luxury abode to go to waste so they decided to rent it out for short term stays, and are among a growing number of farmers doing so, according to a tourism leader.
