Casual job vacancy.

Shianne from Fairview Downs

Hey neighborly.
Our steady little Motel based in Te Rapa is looking for another casual cleaner to join our team. The hours are very casual, maybe one or two days a week, or on the other side of that you could be needed daily.
School friendly hours, usually start around 930am.

We are looking for someone reliable and able to work with a days notice, although we do try to give as much notice as possible, Motel workloads can change quickly and occasionally, with us girls/kids being sick ect, you maybe called the morning that you may be required to see if your available. Weekend availability, at least one day or possibly both but not every weekend.
Someone who can manage all parts of the cleaning workload in a timely manner. Vacuuming, bed making, washing floors and general cleaning.
In particular we are looking for someone who wont vanish after 2 months. If your available we will give you the hours we can but can not promise massive amount of them.
Let's be honest, cleaning isnt glamorous or all that fun so a good sense of humor and ability to take it as it comes is a good bonus.
We dont think we are all that hard to get on with, as long as we dont have to keep correcting you, so you need to be able to learn and maintain our workload needs.

If you, or someone you know needs some casual work, send me a message and let's meet up.

About us: a wonderful couple that run the place and currently have 3 girls on the cleaning team. We like to come to work to have fun and enjoy our time there.

In a formal response to a petition led by Ruapehu District Mayor Weston Kirton, ministers acknowledged the Chateau’s cultural and economic significance but said no changes to current policy or legislation were warranted Chateau Petition response.

What do you think should happen with Chateau Tongariro? Tell us more in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

Tamahere home in dentist case was once centre of accountant’s fraud

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

It’s been a feature in a recent Hamilton District Court trial , but a Tamahere mansion already has an complicated history.

The property in Woodcock Rd - notable for having a hydroslide in the back yard - the scene of now-disproved alleged sexual offending by Hamilton dentist Rahul Gautam - made headlines more than 15 years ago, when it was a focus in the case of accountant Gary Soffe.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
