Indoor Bowls
Gordonton Indoor Bowling will be having our first night of the new season next Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Gordonton Hall. We are a very friendly club and would welcome any new players if they have played before. Any age group welcome. Club nights are usually finished by 9.30 on an evening so it is not a late night unless you would like to go to tournaments. Just arrive by about 7.20 on Tuesday and you will be very welcome. One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
