How Kāinga Ora spent $7m renovating 120 houses in just one year
Kāinga Ora spent more than $130,000 renovating one property, $43,000 on yard work for another, $25,000 decontaminating a third home and just under $20,000 decorating a Waikato property.
Those sums are examples of just four of the expenses racked up over the last financial year by the state housing provider.
