It's never too late to start learning Portuguese! Our Term 3 Portuguese 101 classes(along with all of our other language programmes) began last week but you can catch up at anytime by watching the video recordings. Our Introductory Portuguese course meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm (New Zealand time) and is available in-person, live-streamed via Zoom to anywhere in the world with a good internet connection, or via the weekly video recordings of each live session. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
