Mystery Creek’s cavernous hall will turn into the country’s biggest bouncy castle meets obstacle course — a 345-metre, six-lane serpent of air and vinyl — over the first five days of October.
There are slides, tunnels, and a make-believe rugby and football field in the middle. The soundtrack is the thrum of blowers and the squeak of socks on plastic.

Widow’s fight for change after husband’s ‘blasé’ care at Waikato Hospital
Nigel Dring had looked forward to retirement, but only got months to enjoy it.
His death in July 2023 - two days after a medical appointment - sparked an investigation at Waikato Hospital and his widow says she’s still shocked at “blasé” treatment in the days before he died.
While Nigel had told one doctor he was “really struggling to breathe”, no-one made them feel like he was in danger, Lynn Dring said.
