A star-studded who’s-who of the biggest acts in New Zealand music will be performing on seven stages at the Homegrown festival at Hamilton’s Claudeland’s Oval.
And two of the Waikato’s most venerated rock bands, The Datsuns and Devilskin, are among the 40 groups and performers unveiled in a just-announced line-up for the festival, to be held on Saturday, March 14 next year.

Widow’s fight for change after husband’s ‘blasé’ care at Waikato Hospital
Nigel Dring had looked forward to retirement, but only got months to enjoy it.
His death in July 2023 - two days after a medical appointment - sparked an investigation at Waikato Hospital and his widow says she’s still shocked at “blasé” treatment in the days before he died.
While Nigel had told one doctor he was “really struggling to breathe”, no-one made them feel like he was in danger, Lynn Dring said.
