Poll: Did you know about this Melville project?

Libby Reporter from Waikato Local

New giant “poo tanks”, each longer than three city buses and designed to hold two million litres of wastewater, are sitting empty at the Pukete waste water treatment plant after a major Hamilton City Council project blew its budget and timeline.

The city’s first underground bulk wastewater storage system set to go in Melville’s Collins Road opposite Deanwell Park has cost an extra $2.9 million, with the project completion delayed over a year after contractors discovered higher groundwater during excavations than anticipated.

I’m often promised and sometimes new

(Trev from Tamatea kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Trev!)

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
