Widowās fight for change after husbandās āblasĆ©ā care at Waikato Hospital
Nigel Dring had looked forward to retirement, but only got months to enjoy it.
His death in July 2023 - two days after a medical appointment - sparked an investigation at Waikato Hospital and his widow says sheās still shocked at āblasĆ©ā treatment in the days before he died.
While Nigel had told one doctor he was āreally struggling to breatheā, no-one made them feel like he was in danger, Lynn Dring said.
