Curious about the top salary at your local council?
Hamilton City Council has more staffers earning in excess of $100,000 a year than any other council across Waikato - and the region’s highest paid council mandarin.
The Waikato Times filed an Official Information Act request with all 11 district, regional and city councils asking how much their top five earners were paid, how many staff pulled in more than $100,000 a year and what their lowest salaries were.
