My father Eugene is starting a gardening business as he nears retirement (he's been working in a factory all his life as a fitter and turner). He has a huge passion for pristine lawns, sunflowers, hedges, and vegetable gardens. Yesterday he had his very first long-term customers which he is very proud of (very cute) π

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship β like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from NgΔti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
