Plant these... stamps?
You read that right! Why not try something new this spring and grow your own collection of these special seeded stamps from New Zealand Post (philately sure is different in the 21st century). These gummed stamps are affixed with seeds (also available without seeds) and come with growing instructions. Available singly or in sets as well as miniature sheets and first day covers. Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
