Santa’s sleigh will still roll through Hamilton this December — but for the first time, community groups will need to pay to be part of the parade.
Organisers of the First Credit Union Christmas Parade have introduced a $50 entry fee for groups wanting to put a float on show, alongside a $300 charge for businesses. Schools will still be able to enter free.

A major global tourism operator is ditching production in Australia and jumping across the Tasman to Hamilton.
Tourism Holdings Limited have announced they are closing its manufacturing factory in Brisbane effective December 19 and are transitioning all production to Action Manufacturing in Hamilton, New Zealand.
