People love to get in early and have the chance to do early festive shopping halfway through the year. You have the chance to do all this at our 1-day Mid-Winter Christmas Pop Up Event.
Outdoor stalls only in the Riverlea Theatre Car Park. Over 60 amazing stalls that will feature artisans/crafters, home baking, taonga from bone carving/greenstone, giftware and more.
There also will be live music, food and coffee, hangi, face painting on the day.
A chance to support the amazing local small businesses/stallholders attending and to support our community!

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls

ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and youโ€™re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.

Remember, banks will:โ€‹โ€‹
โŒ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codesโ€‹โ€‹
โŒ Never need to know your full credit card number โ€“ especially the CVC
โŒ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your deviceโ€‹โ€‹
โŒ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.

Hamilton woman fights for 21-year rates refund after council admits mistake

A pilates studio owner whose rates were overcharged for 21 years is fighting to get the money refunded by the city council.

Progressive Pilates owner Sonia Lidington estimated she had paid an extra $20,000 over the years, but Hamilton City Council has said it can only refund her $7416.
