My wife, Horiana Henderson, is running in the by-election. We have lived in the Hamilton East Ward for more than 30 years so she is very aware of issues relating to our neighbourhood (e.g. Council proposing to close the Brooklyn Road leg of 5 Crossroads and increasing rates by 8.9% with compounding 4.9% increases in the following 2 years while at the same time planning to spend $34 million on the Cook Street cycleway at a cost of $12.5 million per kilometre). Tamahere home in dentist case was once centre of accountant’s fraud
