This Christmas, while many are enjoying some time away, we're looking for special people who are staying home and can open their homes to a foster animal or two. Spread some holiday cheer and get some cuddles in return!
Before the end of December, SPCA is expecting to take over 3000 vulnerable cats and kittens into care. Many of these will need time in a foster home to heal, learn and grow.

One frustrated councillor walked out of a meeting before regional councillors set rates, and another didn’t vote in “protest”.
Regional councillors have agreed by a thin 7 for and 5 against margin to put forward a 2024-34 long term plan for adoption, exposing particular divisions over the higher-than-suggested rates rise for next year: 7.4%.
