A very difficult task was under taken by the judges last Wednesday, to pick the top 3, that they chose the top 5 instead. They had a long discussion deceiding the final order, which will be released tomorrow, Saturday 28th Oct 2017. The top 5 are, in House number order, but not nessessaryaly in thier placing order. 1A - 3 - 19 - 36 - & 76. These placings will recieve a certificate each as well as a prize donated from a number of Tehapara buiseness. I personaly thank those buisness for thier very generous support. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
