Fires

Derek Goodwin from Tairawhiti Fire Risk Management

Hi all....you may have noticed an upsurge in fires in the Gisborne Region recently. Whilst these fires all have an explanation, it is still timely to remind every one to be safe around fire. Make sure your smoke alarms are working. If you are unsure about smoke alarm placement, or have any other fire safety queries, please feel free to ring the Gisborne Fire Station on (06) 8679038.

Also, the Gisborne Region is currently under a Total Fire Ban. If you see smoke and are concerned about it, dial 111 and ask for the Fire Service.

Stay safe everyone.
