Acknowledgement for the time & effort made for the Gisborne "Neighbourly" Community Event - 2016 held today.

Ariana Neighbourly Lead from Gisborne District

I would like to take this time and make an acknowledgement to Lois Wimutu for the HUGE amount of time and effort she has made and put in for making todays' Gisborne "Neighbourly" Community Event - 2016 possible.

The Gisborne "Neighbourly" Community Event is the "baby" which belongs to Lois!

She was able to provide a location FREE of cost for ALL community members, not just for those members here on "Neighbourly", all people within the community... to be able to advertise their works, sell their items, at NO COST to them to do so - any profit made is theirs to keep - Lois & myself have had advertising running for over a month via FaceBook, Flyers placed within shops, Schools, Kindys, Word of mouth etc... City Council registrations and permissions was dealt with by Lois....
All of this was done for... you...

Today was quiet, but I enjoyed it... I loved the family atmosphere amongst the stall holders lol little ones loved it, loaded with lollies, train ride too and even winners in races wwoohhoo lol... They love those medals, I love those medals!

These types of "benefits" of the happiness, the coming together and supporting each other.... is what a community is about.

Myself & Lois have also noticed a huge increase on the "Neighbourly" website of over 500 new members since the advertising of this Event first started.
This is a huge benefit for the website, and I personally think a very beneficial one for the "Neighbourly" Team / Staff also.

I would like to say thank you to Des of Casey Jones Express for the Train Rides and putting some huge smiles on the little ones faces, and big smiles on their families.
I would also like to thank Jennie Lodge of Krazy Knits and her Mum Trish, for bringing your beautiful lovely knitted items, your crazy sense of humor that both of you have, especially when Jennie was in pain due to your back!!

I would like to thank everyone else also whom attended - the food smelt delish and also the afghans that were passed out to all those at the end... where yyuummmii delish...
Thank you very much, your presence and time is greatly appreciated!

Again, thank you Lois....
Thank you for your thoughtfulness & love you have shown, that you spent so much time and effort into making this day for other people.
Thank you for giving your time and spending your time away from your beautiful family, in order to help others... to come together as one...

I for one, appreciate it! You are a very loving person... and what you want for others is a rare thing!

Have a huge rest up for a while now... Cuppa tea and biscuits are in order! xox

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
