Anita from Shannon

Our HHCN Shannon fundraising event is a week away. An online auction that runs for a week, think along the lines of trademe, but the funds raised benefit the community and help families over the Christmas period 🤗 this will be kicked off next Saturday at 8pm, and my goodness there is some cool stuff. Feel free to prejoin the page so your ready to rumble, share it around and invite your friends and family. All for a good cause 🙌 HHCN has been running over 4 years with its new location in Shannon since this February working hard to make a difference in the community, and surrounding towns, ensuring basic human needs are met. Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
