Focus on Arts
Make sure you listen to "Focus on Arts" on 104.7FM this Sunday at 11am (repeats next Thursday 6/10/22 @ 8.30pm), as Mahara Gallery's Janet Bayly chats with Grant Stevenson from SeaGrass Gallery, 38 Moana Street, Ōtaki Beach - he's having open days at the studio for every Saturday in October (there's 5 Saturday's!) from 10am till 5pm - FREE admission with 17 artists work on display, so visit "Mahara Pops up at SeaGrass" this weekend, and keep listening to also hear from weaver Cassandra Archer, who's work is currently featured at Mahara Iti, Mahara Place, Waikanae. Cassandra has just about completed the only full-time weaving course in the world! How cool!
A great listen - and make sure you visit Mahara Iti, weekdays...soon, and SeaGrass Gallery on Saturday!
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
