Mother's Day Show

Michelle from Linton

Hi everyone, how many people would be interested in taking their mums to a show on Mother's Day? The Loop Restaurant and Bar (formerly the old RSA) are having a late afternoon/early evening show for Mother's Day. You can have a meal beforehand if you wish and then enjoy the music from the good old days. (60's and 70's era) I think they may be selling tickets for $10. I think this would be a wonderful outing for our mums. I am lucky enough to have 2 special mums in my life which I know will enjoy this. Would love to see you all there. Spread the word and let's do something nice for our mums 💕

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
