Burglaries

The Team from Foxton Police

On Thursday 19 January we arrested a 43 year old male for a burglary on Seabury Avenue.

During an interview he confessed to having committed numerous house burglaries at the Beach.

He appeared in Court this morning and will remain in custody for lengthy time.

We are continuing inquiries to locate the stolen property.

The majority of recent burglaries to holiday homes at the beach were committed by this man. We are hopeful that following this arrest the community of Foxton beach will feel safer.

The male in the picture we posted is not the man arrested and charged , we are still keen to hear from anyone who can identify this thief.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
