Showing your support
There are many ways where you can show your support, love and unity to mark one week since the devastating terrorist attacks in Christchurch.
🧡 The Feilding Farmers Market will be holding a minute's silence at 10am to show their love and support for the Muslim community, the people of Christchurch and their stallholders.
💛 At 1:32pm as a nation, there will be two minutes of silence to remember the fallen, the survivors and those affected on Friday 15 March.
💚 The #headscarfforharmony movement - New Zealanders of all religions are encouraged to wear headscarves or head covering. It aims to support and acknowledge the pain the Muslim community is suffering, and the grief New Zealanders share in the midst of tragedy.
💙 The #colouryourday movement - We encourage you to wear something colourful in your school, business and community.
"Our hearts are heavy, but our spirit is strong."

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
