Hi Neighbours,
Feilding 17-year-old William Wood is the National Party's surprise nomination to contest the Palmerston North electorate at next year's election.
His age and life experience has been a talking point on social media. Would you consider voting for a candidate so young?

Sorry for any confusion. Please tell friends and family who only check the paper. A correction will run in tomorrow's edition.

Manfeild Park Trust the gift that keeps increasing our rates bills.
Our elected council are such nice people giving our rates payers money so that a few stupid directors get to keep an over paid job again paid for with a council grant of $368,000 pa. and just so they wont stress another $180,000 to dismantle an old grand stand.
We are so luck I'm sure it wont be long before we go from forth most expensive rates in New Zealand to first place.

“The staff are absolutely amazing,” explains Glenda. “They go out of their way to speak to you, to make sure you’re ok.”
Hoko and Glenda feel very fortunate for the support they received when Hoko experienced some health issues. It wasn’t just the village staff who provided support, the whole community rallied around them.
“When I got sick the community itself looked after me,” Hoko explains.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the staff here,” Glenda says.
