Promises, promises
Hi all
We all make promises every day. I made a rash one in my post yesterday that I fear I'm about to break. We've all made resolutions to ourselves some New Years eve, I wonder how many of those were realised? My point is, it can be hard keeping our word, even for the most important people in our lives. Even with the best intentions.
Life can be a perpetual cycle of playing catch up while juggling work and family, and sometimes promises get broken. If you're nodding your head at this (and especially if your not), I'd like you to spare a thought for those who have to daily manage their health. Perhaps you're one of them.
It's the same promises; work, family, interests, social and community commitments. But then there is the health condition, and that can mean medications, blood tests, appointments, scripts, lab tests, self tests, medical procedures, pain, discomfort, fatigue... Quite frankly, you don't want to know what some people have to do to get through the day.
Sometimes folks just can't do everything they're supposed to do, be it for work, family, or "optimal" health management. Often it seems impossible to get on top of everything and, being brutally honest, it probably is. But that doesn't mean we stop trying. Sometimes we can do things better by doing them smarter.
Actions get easier the more we do them, especially when we have others helping and supporting us. That's where My Health myself comes in. For six weeks, you can be with a fun, supportive group learning and practising techniques that can help you feel better and free up time spent on managing your health, with facilitators who are right there doing it with you.
So to all you promising jugglers out there, if you would like to find out how to spend less time concentrating on one of those balls, come and join us. I can't promise you you will get on top of everything, but we can help you get on top of your health.

Fedora hat wanted
Does anyone have a fedora hat (like all men wore in the 40's and 50's) that I could borrow, hire or but. I need a hat for a function over Labour Weekends.
