Manawatu District Urban Fire Bylaw
The new Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) Act means that MDC is no longer responsible for fire seasons or granting fire permits for open air fires. We have now revoked our Urban Fires Bylaw 2014.

FENZ is not responsible for smoke nuisance – smoke from residential chimneys is still our responsibility, and Horizons is responsible for outdoor smoke nuisance 0508 800 800.
