• You can watch the race from the Redwoods.
• Money raised from the relay and day will fund the conservation of the manu (birds) and rākau (trees) at Pūkaha.
12 pm Relay finishes.
PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS
Ranger wildlife talks, market stalls, carving studio displays, sausage sizzle, fun activities, mahi toi (art) at the new wharenui and more.
2pm is your chance to say gidday to Westpac Ambassador Richie McCaw.
•Grab a snap with him in front our wharenui for your chance to win a cool spot prize
Transport update :
Pukaha's car park will be chokka on Pūkaha Community Open Day.
It's a good idea to carpool or jump onboard the free bus:
The bus will be running from Masterton on Sunday 17th Sept
• Departing Farriers Carpark at 10 am
• Leaving from Pūkaha at 3.30 pm & arriving back to Masterton at 4 pm.
The 57-seat coach is first in first served.
Well done Masterton District Council for supporting this
Gates open 10.30 am – 3.30 pm.
Koha (donation) entry and everyone is welcome.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
