On this Saturday from 8-11am at The King Lion Hall, King Street, Upper Hutt. Come along and get your home-made jams and sauces and choose your lovely potted plants. Have a look through our quality adult clothes and pick clothes for the kids at only $1 each. Also lots of books, toys and jigsaws to choose from. Plus general household stuff. Get there before 10am to be guaranteed good parking.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
