Remutaka Hill night road closure Sunday 10th October
There's an upcoming overnight closure of Remutaka Hill for essential work.
State Highway 2 (SH2) over the Remutaka Hill will be closed for one night from 9pm Sunday 10 October to 4am Monday 11 October to allow crews to safely complete essential work. One to note especially as this falls within the School Holidays.
There is also a five-night closure of the road coming up, from 9pm Sunday 7 November to 4am Friday 12 November. For people who know they need to travel during these nights, they should get in touch to book the escort service.
For more information on the Remutaka Hill closures, including the full schedule of planned closures up to June 2022, visit nzta.govt.nz/projects/sh2-remutaka-hill-road-night-closures.
